After reviewing many carefully assembled mission-aligned grants from the ministries, the Felician Services Board of Directors recently approved the St. Francis Fund Committee’s recommendations of the FY 2023 grant recipients. These grant applications demonstrate the St. Francis Fund’s purpose which is to provide financial assistance in developing new and positive initiatives to help address unmet or underserved community needs.
The grants awarded this year support many areas including improving community health, supporting students with disabilities, reaching out to those experiencing grief, building equity while addressing truth and reconciliation, and much more. Committee Chair Dennis Walczyk reports that “the proposals submitted for review represented a microcosm of the scope, creativity, response to need, and adherence to mission that are brought to life everyday throughout our Felician Sponsored Ministries.”
The committee looks forward to sharing the impact of these grants over time with the larger Felician Sponsored Ministries community.
