Vision for the St. Francis Fund of Felician Services, Inc.

When being awarded a St. Francis Fund Grant, a Felician-Sponsored Ministry can be a catalyst for innovation and positive change. If a ministry receives the grant, ministry leadership can collaborate to empower and sustain the ministry in the Felician Sisters’ heritage.

FY20 St. Francis Fund Grantees

Answering the calls of Strategic Imperative 1 (Strengthen the impact of the Felician sponsored ministries in responding to the needs of the time with a preferential option for people who are poor and/or marginalized) and Strategic Imperative 3 (In collaboration with the Provincial Council, take a leadership role in encouraging the expansion of the current Felician Sponsored Ministries and the founding of new ministries in responding to the needs of the time while actively pursuing collaborations and partnerships with Felician and Non-Felician Sponsored Ministries), many ministries responded and earned grants for the most recent cycle.
The programs awarded demonstrate a commitment to people who are poor, vulnerable, and marginalized in the communities where the ministries serve.  SM Rosita Brennan, member of the St. Francis Fund Committee, noted, “the members of the St. Francis Fund Committee become very animated each year as we read and review the proposals of our sponsored ministries. The dedication and foresight that they exhibit in their proposals continue to amaze us and to reinforce for us that the sponsored ministries of the Felician Sisters are very much about the care of those most in need. We could not be prouder of them.”
