St. Anne’s Family Services (Los Angeles, CA) Joins the Community of Felician-Sponsored Ministries

Dear Lay Partners of Felician-Sponsored Ministries,

I’m delighted to let you know that our congregation has now accepted sponsorship for the newest ministry in the Felician Sisters’ community. It is a privilege to welcome into our family of ministries, St. Anne’s, a renowned Los-Angeles-based nonprofit that has been serving women, children, and families in need since 1908.

The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart sought us out to be the stewards of St. Anne’s going forward. It is indeed a good match, as St. Anne’s and the Felician Sisters were both born out of a profound desire to minister to the most vulnerable of society. Just as our foundress Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska began her ministry by providing compassionate care to women and children in need, St. Anne’s has personified this spirit for more than 100 years.

We are blessed that the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart have entrusted us with the sponsorship of their beloved ministry as it continues and expands its impact on the Los Angeles County community.

We prayed about and studied the matter extensively and, through God’s grace, we accepted the transfer of sponsorship of St. Anne’s into our community of ministries. St. Anne’s is led by a spirited and experienced board of directors and management team with whom we have met and trust.

An external announcement will be made February 1st. The release also announces its new name, St. Anne’s Family Services, reflecting its current spectrum of programs and services. We ask you to hold this news in confidence until Monday, February 1st when the information will be widely distributed across news organizations. We encourage you to stay tuned to the Felician Sisters’ and Felician Services’ social media accounts and to welcome, like, and follow your new partner in ministry.

Please keep those being served by St. Anne’s and all of our ministries in your prayers. May God bless you every day.

Peace and All Good,

SM Christopher Moore, CSSF
