Michelle Moore-Santana joined Felician Services in April 2023. Prior to joining Felician Services, Michelle has served at Neumann University in Aston, PA, a Franciscan School of Higher Education. Initially she began as an Assistant Professor of Nursing where she created a course entitled “Strategies for Success in Nursing – Inclusion, diversity, and equity to enhance a sense of belonging.” From 2020 she served as the Coordinator for the President’s Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion developing an Electronic Bias Incident Reporting System and Response Team for the university community and providing DEI campus-wide trainings. In 2022 Dr. Santana was named the Chief Diversity Officer for Neumann University. In this position, she developed their Strategic Plan for DEI. She served as the institutional representative for Ethics and Integrity for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and as a member of the Coordinated Community Response Team for the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women on campus. Her community service and volunteer activities include founder and president of Angel’s Rise Mentoring, Black Nurses Rock – Delaware Chapter, and National Coalition 100 Black Women Delaware where she is the chair of the 100 Bridges Group Mentoring Program. As Managing Director of Social Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Belonging, Dr. Santana will lead our Strategic Imperative on Advancing Equity. She will work closely with leaders across sponsored ministries and Felician Services to further shape the organizations’ culture to be one that values diversity and belonging and applies these values in day-to-day operations. As Managing Director she will oversee the creation, implementation, and ongoing evolution of a Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Strategic Plan building the roadmap for achieving the vision.
