Honoring Mary as Mother of Jesus and Queen of Heaven.
St. Joseph Child Care Center (Pontiac, MI) and St. Mary Child Care Center (Livonia, MI) students celebrated the May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a special ceremony. Students presented a floral crown, a rosary, and handmade paper flowers to the statue of Mary in honor of the Blessed Mother at their respective centers. They also sang songs like This Little Light of Mine and prayed the Hail Mary with families in attendance, asking, “Blessed Mother Virgin Mary, please pray for us.” The celebration was a meaningful way to pass on this cherished tradition and deepen faith within the community. Both of these programs belong to the Felician Sisters Child Care Centers.

Walk for Child Abuse Prevention
St. Clare Foundation (Centralia, IL) participated in the Amy Schulz Child Advocacy Center’s Prevention Picnic in late April in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The event helped raise awareness through several engaging activities that brought together social service leaders and child abuse prevention advocates. It also created opportunities to connect with and support youth in the Centralia community. As an added bonus, Terry Schweizer, SCF Board President and FSI President, was able to join participants for the walk.
Prayer Walk for Hope and Unity
Community liaisons from St. Felix Centre (Toronto, ON) participated in the 14th Division’s 3rd Annual Prayer Walk, which is a gathering rooted in unity, reflection, and a shared commitment to stand against hate, violence, and racism. At each site, participants paused for moments of prayer and reflection, recognizing that even across different faiths and backgrounds, we are united in something deeper in our commitment to care for one another.
Villa Maria College Supports Felician Community Services
Hopebound Ministries – Felician Community Services was grateful to have received so much support from our partners at Villa Maria College. Villa Maria College’s staff organized the First Annual Vikings Food Drive and collected non-perishable food items for neighbors in need. They graciously donated over 100 pounds of food to the Sister Mary Josette Food Pantry. Additionally, athletes from the college’s Flag Football team spent two days volunteering. The players unloaded food deliveries, organized shelves, and packed pet food for the Pet Pantry. FCS was so appreciative of these helping hands.
