Enfield Montessori School & Chiaravalle Academy: Celebrating Earth Day
The students at Enfield Montessori School and Chiaravalle Academy had the opportunity to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd on what was a beautiful spring day. In line with Laudato Si, students participated in outdoor activities, celebrating God’s creation. In the words of Maria Montessori, the school noted, “We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are a part of the universe, and all are connected with each other to form one whole unity.”
OLSH Baseball Team Consecrates itself to St. Joseph
Phil McCarren, OLSH Mission Leader and Baseball Coach, invited the baseball team to join him outside to say the prayer of consecration to St. Joseph. He has been praying the consecration on his own to ask for blessings on the team’s season, and was happy to be joined by the entire team. “O my Spiritual Father, I hereby consecrate myself to you. In faithful imitation of Jesus and Mary, I place myself and all my concerns under your care and protection.” Blessings upon the entire OLSH community.
Madonna University Celebrates Academics
The Madonna University Center for Research held its 10th Annual Symposium for Research, Scholarship and Creativity on Wednesday, April 17th. The event showcased the academic and artistic achievements of Madonna students and faculty. The symposium featured 66 student posters on display, covering a wide range of disciplines. This provided students with a valuable opportunity to hone their presentation skills, share their research findings, and showcase their creative endeavors.
Faculty members also provided some presentations, reinforcing Madonna’s overall commitment to the Felician Core Values for Ministry and the ways we can carry them out today. Topics included:
