In honor of tomorrow’s Feast of St. Felix, namesake of the Felician Sisters, the residents assembled Deo Gratias Bags for the homeless. These bags are donated to the House of Peace and are distributed to the homeless and needy by the Capuchin Franciscans.
Donations are always sought to periodically assemble these bags. Items needed include the following: socks, winter hats, gloves, hand warmers, deodorant, soap, shampoo, razors, tissue, lip balm, moisturizer, toothbrush and toothpaste, mouthwash, protein bars, and religious items. These items can be delivered to the mission leader, Kurt.
Each bag also contains a card stating: “Filling this bag has been a blessing to me. I hope that you can use these items. I will pray for you.”
After assembly, the residents prayed for the recipients of these bags.
