St. Joseph Academy Celebrates Moms

During the month of May, SJA honored mothers as moms and motherly caregivers were invited to join their children for Muffins with Moms. Even some staff members, including SJA President Tabia Jones, were able to celebrate their roles as caring mothers in the Marian tradition!

HNMCS Innovates with Robotics

In the spirit of innovation and meeting the needs of the times, the HNMCS robotics team continues to lead the way in robotics imagination and resourcefulness in problem-solving. The robotics team put on a stellar demonstration of their skill & expertise when they ran their competition robot at a recent Conference of Independent Schools Curriculum Leaders Network meeting held at HNMCS.

Villa Maria College Gets Coding

Villa Maria College recently partnered with Tech Buffalo & the KORP Foundation for the first Family Coding Night. Parents & their kids joined VMC on campus to learn some basic coding skills while enjoying each other’s company and some pizza. This effect reflects a commitment to community outreach and support on VMC’s behalf.

Villa St. Francis Builds Deo Gratias Bags

In honor of tomorrow’s Feast of St. Felix, namesake of the Felician Sisters, the residents assembled Deo Gratias Bags for the homeless. These bags are donated to the House of Peace and are distributed to the homeless and needy by the Capuchin Franciscans.
Donations are always sought to periodically assemble these bags. Items needed include the following: socks, winter hats, gloves, hand warmers, deodorant, soap, shampoo, razors, tissue, lip balm, moisturizer, toothbrush and toothpaste, mouthwash, protein bars, and religious items. These items can be delivered to the mission leader, Kurt.
Each bag also contains a card stating: “Filling this bag has been a blessing to me. I hope that you can use these items. I will pray for you.”
After assembly, the residents prayed for the recipients of these bags.

St. Felix Pantry Provides Summer Food for Families

Summer can be a challenging time for families as access to school meals ceases. St. Felix Pantry, along with other community organizations, ensure that students to do not go hungry by ensuring that families have regular and efficient access to food throughout the summer.
