HNMCS Supports Giving Tuesday

To launch the Advent season, students embraced the spirit of Giving Tuesday by contributing to school-wide drives for food products and winter clothing. Throughout December, they will continue supporting these efforts, working together to benefit those in need within the community. These initiatives reinforce the importance of solidarity and compassion, encouraging students to live out the call to help others daily. By participating, students are learning the value of collective action and generosity, making a meaningful impact during this season of giving. As Matthew Snowdon, Mission Leader, wrote, “in a world full of mixed messages and competing influences, an education rooted in Felician core values offers us a guiding star to base all our institutional decisions and educational goals on. When we are impelled by the pursuit of justice and peace, in our homes, workplaces, and school community, we will no longer sit idly by but become the change we want to see.”

Felician Center Cares for the Community on the Felician Sisters’ Anniversary

On November 21, 2024, the Felician Sisters celebrated the 150th anniversary of their arrival in North America, beginning in Polonia, Wisconsin. Their ministry has since expanded across the continent, including their establishment in Kingstree, SC, on August 11, 1992. To honor this milestone, the Felician Center’s Board members prepared 75 hot dog lunches for local first responders. Delivered to the Fire Department, Police Department, Sheriff’s Department, and EMS, the meals expressed heartfelt gratitude for their courage and sacrifices. This act of service embodies the Sisters’ ongoing commitment to service and compassion.
