Ignatian Spirituality Project – is a non-profit organization that invites people who are struggling with homelessness and substance abuse addiction into a place where they can share their spiritual journey with others and experience God’s unconditional love. This work began in 1998 when Fr. Bill Creed, S.J. and Ed Shurna, past ED of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, were each seeking a way to care for the spiritual life of people. They realized they were being called to find a way to bring God’s hope and love to those who were struggling to find a path forward. ISP works to “light the path” forward. Founded in the Jesuit tradition, people of all, or no, faith traditions are welcome.
Felician Services is helping in the short term, by funding a research project to produce qualitative and quantitative data on the impact of ISP retreats.
In the intermediate term we are supporting the following:
Helping with the structure of the retreats, content and follow up days of reflection and ongoing spiritual accompaniment.

THE SOAP PROJECT
The SOAP Project travels all over the United States to hold outreaches during large events, often sporting events, as these are high demand events for trafficking such as the Super Bowl, Indy 500, and many more. They partner with local organizations to distribute millions of bars of soap, hand labeled with a red sticker which has the National Human Trafficking Hotline number 1.888.373.7888. Trained volunteers help offer the soap, at no charge, to local hotels and motels. They train staff to be able to identify and report human trafficking when they see it in their establishments. Theresa Flores is the foundress and President of SOAP which stands for “Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution”, a survivor of human trafficking, an author of five books and the Program Director for the U.S. Catholic Sisters Against Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking is the second largest crime in the word.
We are providing some funding and the following services:

Assist with Strategic Planning
